You are invited to attend our chapter meeting on January 16, 2002 The Topic will be Indoor Air Quality

The Ohio-Pennsylvania Chapter of the ASSE wants to invite all those who are interested in promoting safety in the workplace to attend our meetings and consider joining the local chapter of our organization. You don't have to be a Safety Engineer to attend our meetings or join the ASSE!.

Our meetings usually include a short business meeting, a speaker on a timley safety and health issue, and a tasty meal at one of our area's finer resturaunts. Meals are usually chosen from the menu so, you can choose an appetizer, desert, or a full course dinner, depending on the capacity of your own stomach and wallet. Meetings are quite informal so, don't be bashfull and join us please as we network to promote safety and health in our local workplaces. We charge a $5.00 cover charge to cover the cost of the meeting room. You order from the menu and pay the resturaunt for your own meal

We invite anyone who is interested in the field of safety, to contact us today about joining the ASSE Ohio Pennsylvania Chapter. Please feel welcome to attend our meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. (Except for November 2001)

Who We Are

The Ohio-Pennsylvanian Chapter,was chartered on January 7th, 1969. Then, as today, the chapter consisted of safety minded professionals from private industry and government. The current chapter has representatives from all sorts of industries in the Mahoning Valley, from OSHA, and from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Division of Safety and Hygiene.

Our focus is to advance the safety profession and enhance the knowledge and capabilities of safety practitioners through its meetings and through safety awareness and professional development activities such as our monthly meetings, individual contacts, and two Health and Safety Professional Development seminars.

3. Enhance and promote the ASSE image as the leader in the profession.

4. Establish and maintain an effective and efficient organization for thechievement of the Society's mission.

6. Develop and maintain mechanisms to recruit, retain and nurture the membership.

7. Deliver the highest quality professional development opportunities to enhance competence and to position practitioners for success.
