President's Message

Congratulations fellow club members of the GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs, you have in your hands a very special tool for not only will this Directory guide your clubs as they plan their programs and projects for the 2008-2010 administration but it will also instill great pride, enthusiasm, and appreciation for your affiliation with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Ohio chairmen, officers, and club members have worked tirelessly to design a Directory that is not only easy to use but holds the keys to successful program and project planning. I encourage you to review it and then share it with all the members of your club. Not all have had the opportunity to see the Directory and wouldn’t it be a wonderful tool to show a prospective member. She would see the diversity of our department/divisions and committees and “imagine the possibilities” for her talents and interests.

We are the “movers, shakers, and motivators” within our communities and even though we are diversified in our talents, interests, and abilities, we have great unity in our goals. It is this unity that unites us and is possibly the single most element for our success. Remember success is not judged by the money raised or the accolades given but is judged by knowing you have given your very best and I know in my heart that all members of our great organization will give their best as they work to make their clubs, communities, and the world the best they can be! Thank you for that dedication.

Thank you for giving me the challenge, honor, and opportunity to be the president of the Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs. I will carry out my duties enthusiastically and with a sincere commitment to do my very best for you and the Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs. I ask you for your support, understanding, and enthusiastic participation in your club activities and the activities of Ohio Federation. I know if you get involved with your hearts and hands you will have great pride in the achievements.

Use the Directory and website to choose the projects and programs that fit the needs of your clubs and communities then do those projects and programs with dedicated enthusiasm.

Pride + Enthusiasm = Participation. If you show PEP in your affiliation with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, your own clubs and in your projects and programs, others will want what you have. They will want to join and support you, so remember to smile and have fun as you use your Enthusiastic Hearts and Hands to give Service in All Directions.
