In the world we live in today it's hard getting by without Jesus Christ. As adults we face so many problems. It seems like the days aren't long enough to get everything done and make time for Christ too. Our lives are so busy and our minds so full. With work and kids how are we suppose to take time to pray?!
This has become the attitude of so many today. If you have kids you know how crazy things can get. Sometimes we forget that kids are also facing problems. They have peer pressure to deal with! It's easy to give in if you don't have a reason to be strong and say NO. That's where Jesus comes in. You see, we may be busy in our daily lives, but Jesus always has time for everyone! Kids, as well as adults, need Christ!! Everyone needs guidance, strength, and assurance.
What are you views on ABORTION?
If we believe that life begins at conception, then when is ending that life permissible? Psalm 22:9-10 says this: Yet You are HE who brought me forth from the womb; You made me trust when upon my mother's breasts. Upon You I was cast from birth; You have been my God from my mother's womb." I want you to consider the following situations and answer this question: Would you consider an abortion in the following four situations?
1. There's a preacher and wife who are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she's pregnant with the 15th. They're living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending that she get an abortion?
2. The father is sick with the sniffles, and the mother has TB. They have 4 children. The 1st is blind, the 2nd is deaf, the 3rd is deaf, and the fourth has TB. She finds she is pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?
3. A white man raped a 13-year old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending an abortion?
4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She's not married. Her fiance' is not the father of the baby, and he's very upset. Would you consider recommending an abortion?
In the first case, you have just killed John Wesley, one of the greatest evangelists in the 19th century.
In the second case, you have killed Beethoven.
In the third case, you have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.
If you said yes to the fourth case, you have just declared the murder of Jesus Christ!
