Johnson County Mailing List Trip

Ramada Sign Welcoming us!

Hi Everyone! Here are some pictures from the trip some of the people on the Johnson County Mail List made to Johnson County on 4/8/00 - 4/10/00 We had a great time even though it was a small group! There were Ann Lemaster-Applegate and Lyman & Ann Porter. Ron Hall met us on Saturday. We met for breakfast, and to plan our day. Geez was it rainy!!! But rain and cold or not that did'nt stop us!!! Our first stop was Butcher Holler, we had the pleasure of talking with Herman Webb and his wife, they are two of the nicest friendliest people i've ever met. Following you will see some pictures from Webb's store and the old homeplace where Lorretta Lynn and her siblings were raised. Next stop was the mountain homeplace, i'll include a few pictures of this but Ann plans on doing something with this! From there Ann and i went to Jenny Wileys grave, our tour guide Scott from the Mountain Homeplace was nice enough to show us the way. All in all we had a great day even if it was wet and cold. It was really nice meeting Ann & Lyman Porter and Ron Hall! I'd like to thank Mr & Mrs. Webb for allowing us to use these pictures of the store and home. Hope you all enjoy them!
