Step 1: Get a beganing pokemon from Prof. Oak. You can chosse from Charmander, Squirtle, or Bulbasaur. My master recommends Charmander but the choice is yours alone!
step 2: go into grassy areas to run into wild pokemon.
Step 3: Battle your pokemon against wild pokemon
if you win than throw a pokeball at it and you got two!
Step 4: repeat step 2-3 until you catch em' all!

Most people like to battle to show off there pokemon or themselfs as a trainer. My trainers tips are to use a good team that are realy strong and have attacks that may put them asleep, confuse, poison, or paralize. You also use attacks that will help your pokemon bost attack, defence, speed, or health. Use the pokemon with the best attack and defence. Like use Mewtwo. Also use a really good team battle. A good team battle is Mewtwo, mew, Venesaur, Dragonite, Articuno, and Starmie!
