What can I say that hasn't already been said
many times, many ways? It warms my heart to see all of the new Memorial sites for 9-11
being circulated on the web.
It's important for us to relive that day. We must NEVER forget the horror we felt when the
news of the Attack On America first broke on our televisions and radios. I know you
remember exactly where you were, what you were doing and how you felt at that moment.
Well, nothing has changed. It did happen and it's not over. As many of us go on with our
daily lives, the grief is still very fresh and tears are still flowing for those who lost
their loved ones that day and in the days and weeks following. Pray for them every day.
Our troops are in Afghanistan and the Middle East. More life is being lost. Pray for them
also. Ben Ladin has not been found. Our daily lives are not the same and will never be
again. You should be very angry about that. Sure, America has gone on with life, but with
a look back over her shoulder. We no longer get on a plane to go anywhere that the thought
of 9-11 doesn't cross our minds. We live with constant threats of perhaps yet other
attacks on America. Attacks that perhaps we are not even prepared to combat.
What I see is many Americans falling back into their old routines.....loosing that close
patriotic feeling and love for our fellow Americans that surrounded all of us after
9-11... and again feeling as though nothing could harm us. We must not let that happen!
Did you expect what happened on September 11, 2001? I sure didn't. Will you ever feel
secure that nothing like that could happen again? I sure won't.
What will you be thinking of each year on the anniversary of the Attack on America? I know what will be in my thoughts and prayers. As you go about your daily routine each September 11th, please take a moment to reflect and perhaps say a prayer for those killed, their loved ones left behind, our government leaders and all of our servicemen and women that are now on peak alert and on the front lines of battle to protect America from further catastrophic events. Pray that those responsible for all terrorists attacks will be caught and brought to justice. Pray hard and long. These devils must be eradicated from our society so that we may all live without fear as we rebuild our world.
