Well, if your here, chances are you either want to learn new tricks or just want to know how to do something...
I will attempt to show and explain how to do some of the coolest tricks I have learned while on the Webtv service.
Any questions or problems
E-mail me at: CodyRivers@webtv.net

IMPORTANT NOTE: When taking these tricks to our site...Change the "parenthesis" = ( & ) to "alligator mouths" = > & <. The first rule of all html codes is "close your tags"!!!

If you don't close your tags things could get a little confusing. What do I mean? Lets say you want to center an image? all you do is put
(center)(img src="the image address")(/center). The "/" (backslash) is the important step in closing a tag. If you mess something up don't freak! Just go back to the code where the problem starts to occur and look for your mistake. it could be as simple as a missing " or >. It has all happened to us all.

OK, on to the tricks...

Copy and Paste (or C&P):
I love to Copy and Paste, I am the king! LOL!

Here's how, first hit your "find" key, type in the word or punctuation you want to start copying from.

Once the letter(s) are highlighted, hold down the "shift" key and use the arrows to go up down or sideways on the page, highlighting all you want.

Once you lift up the "shift" key, the words will remain highlighted but you will be done highlighting. Now, press down the "cmd" button and hit the "c", you should hear a chirp!

Then go to where ever you want to put the copy you just copied, and hit the "cmd" button and "v". This will paste it where you want it.

It will stay on the system until you either "power off" (switching users will clear it too) or copying something else.

Try it out on different things. Where ever the cursor is you can start copying, and take it to paste.

(Works great with address' in your "go to" button. Try it on images by hitting your "go to" button, then hit "show last".)

Bouncing E-mails:

This is probably the coolest trick you can do!

Ever see something you really liked from someones elses' pages or posts? Or just wondered how did they do that? This will show you exactly what is on there page. If you have problems doing this just forward the page to me and I will do it and send it back to you!

To "bounce" the e-mail back to yourself to see the html codes on the page, start to forward the mail back to you by hitting the forward button in the sidebar.
2. Erase the subject line completely. Then, tab down three lines in the body of the mail.
3. Press "alt" and "z", the symbol "§" will appear.
4. Press "cmd" and "a", this will higlight the §.
5. Press "cmd" and "x", this will "cut" it. You should hear a chirp.
6. Go back up to the subject line and hit "cmd" and "v" to paste the §. (NOTE: The § will move down a few spaces on its own, this is ok!).
7. Send the mail to yourself! That's it!
Retrieve the mail from your mailbox and see how they did that!! (Also note that if you do not hit the "Remove Signature" button before you send it, you will see your signature codes too. Either way works well.

Date Stamp & Clock:
This is probably the easiest trick you can do! All you have to do is put (clock)(/clock) anywhere you want the date stamp/clock.
It will look like this . *Remember to change the parenthesis to alligator tags.

I will be adding more soon!! But, here are a few to get you started.
