Captain Petra

Schaefer

Shrewd gray eyes peer, accented by long black lashes. With naturally rosy cheeks and a pink cupid's bow mouth, it seems as if she has the eternal look of embarrassment. Earlobe length mouse-brown curls bounce with her step, kept short to reduce upkeep. Soft, rounded feminine curves outshine her well shaped body, she always carries a posture proclaiming command. While not the spitting image of beauty, she has an unusual aura of wisdom, cast by her set features.

Royal blue jacket hangs open, lightly covering up a turtleneck of cream. Captain's shoulderboards sit on both shoulders. A name is embossed on a plastic plate over her left chest, 'Schaefer' jumping out at you. Charcoal pants are proudly worn, regulation black boots hiding the cuffs of her charcoal and cream-striped pants. Of course, there's only one stripe down the outside- running into the synth-leather boots.

Lynx One

Black, to blend into the stars above, drapes this short Hellfire, weapons and stubby wings breaking her sleek lines, the clear rim of pilot's windows cocooning the front of the ship. AFPC-VI cannons clamp closely to the sides of the fuselage, their matching pair at the tip of the wings. Armament and engine design leaves the Hellfire ahead of her class in maneuverability and power.

Petra's Pad

Simple and modern, the entire apartment has a black on rose theme. Multiple modern paintings seem as if like the painter was tripping at the time, and while that may be, it sets an even more modern feel about the place. The Paintings have small lights above them so they are seen easier against the dark rose walls. Black modern lamps sit on black stands, the meager light from these lamps giving the room a dark, laid back feel. Tucked in a corner of the room, a small desk is neatly covered with papers, a small vidscreen out in front, making the desk a popular hang-out. A small kitchenette is one of the few major light sources, containing the same rose-walled with black accessories theme, along with a medium sized black table off to the side. A dark area in the room leads to a simple door leading to the bedroom.

The main centerpiece of the room is a black synthleather couch, with a plain blanket hanging over the back. It looks perfect for curling up and taking a nap, and that's often what happens.

Schaefer is my second Hope Station alt (telnet to otaking.org 2132) and she's probably the alt that's the least like me, considering she can really be a bitch sometimes, and she's only nice to people when she thinks she can gain from it. She's really pretty weird if I think about it. She's had a bad history with the SDF- she was demoted because she wanted to break off a relationship with a commanding officer. One way Schae is like me, though, is that we both love German/Germany. I speak a good deal of the language, and Petra was born there. That's acutally how I came up with her name- Petra is my name in German class at school.

History:

Born 2101, in Xanten, Germany, Petra grew up as well as any normal kid during an interplanetary war could, with one exception- her parents were poor. They moved in and out of small apartments as her parents got and lost temporary jobs, the crumbled German government not able to help anything. She spent most of her early days wandering around in the abandoned English Airforce Base in her neighborhood, playing hide-and-go seek with a few of her friends when it was safe to do so.

When she hit fourteen, her parents had scraped enough money to get her off the plannet and to some cousin's home. The only catch was that she had to learn English. After a rocky start, she learned the language with a rather nice mid-west USA accent. Years passed helping out her American-German cousins, until her 21st year. She learned that her parents had been killed on Earth at its destruction. Wanting to forget her family, she entered the SDF to be a pilot not a month after the destruction of Earth.

Realizing the corruption among the higher ranks, Petra joined Hope to try to fight for right. Noble, eh??
