Wildwood Young Marines

On Saturday, July 13, 2002 the Wildwood Young Marines of Cleveland Ohio were volunteers at the 22nd National Veterans Wheelchair Games. The National Wheelchair Games was held at several locations throughout the Greater Cleveland area from July 9 – 13, 2002, with more than 600 veterans participating in 15 different events.

The National Veterans Wheelchair Games is an annual event held in major metropolitan cities. Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Medical Center was the host for the Cleveland games. No tax dollars were used to present these games, all costs were borne by personal and corporate gifts.

The Wildwood YM were assigned to assist in the Motor Rally that was held Saturday at the Natural History Museum at Wade Oval.  The YM assisted in getting the veterans and their assistants registered for the various events and ensure their information was accurate for data entry.
