We were suppose to go on a cruise and get married at Magen's Bay in St. Thomas. However, Shaun's dad became ill shortly before we were suppose to leave, and we found out that week that he had brain cancer. As hard as it was on both of us, we knew what we needed to do and we stayed here with him. We started planning to have our wedding on June 1st, 2002 in my parents back yard. Shaun's dad passed away just two weeks before our wedding. Because of our original plans, we made our wedding into a "tropical island" theme, complete with sand and barefeet! It was wonderful!
We just wish his dad could have been there too.
