If you have a 1996 or newer Sea Doo boat or pwc that uses the style of reverse gate pictured above, have you noticed your reverse actuator catching or hard to get into reverse? They have a locking lever that wears out and needs replacement occasionally. A picture of a worn lock lever is shown below. If the reverse is used with a damaged lock lever, the extra effort needed to actuate reverse can cause the cable to break, costing big $$ to fix.
I offer a repair service where you send in your reverse gate and I remove the damaged lever and install a new one. You may ask “why don’t I just do it myself?”. The answer is simple. It takes specialized tools to remove the old lever without breaking off the delicate tabs that hold it onto the gate. The price I charge is well worth it compared to the $125 you’ll have to spend for a new gate and lever if you break yours!
All you need to do is remove your gate following the instructions below and email me for instructions on sending it in for repair.
