Dave Sutherland's Renaissance Revival
Hi,
I'm glad you are here. The vision of this page, is to use the World Wide Web
as it was really meant to be used, as a pooling of ideas. During
the Renaissance, the populace of many parts of the earth, opened their
eyes to the beauty of the world that surrounded them, and exulted in various
explorations of it. Today, it appears that we have become too specialized, to
truly enjoy the wonders of our universe. Those with a creative mind, have turned
completely towards visual arts, while those with a scientific mind, are reduced
almost to mere computers as they go through the path set for them by our society. I am a
young man who truly believes that the left and right sides of the brain can work together,
that science and art can complement each other, that athleticism, citizenship and brains are
not mutually exlusive, and I want to use this page to meet other people, young and old who
believe the same thing. That way, we can learn from each other, share wild ideas, and bring
back the ideals of the Renaissance. This is a very new page, so if you think that you understand
and appreciate its goals, any ideas or submissions would be most welcome.
