Daydreaming

  • Altered State of Consciousness- Different from a normal waking state influenced by use of drugs and alcohol

    NREM Sleep-

  • sleep stages 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Stage 1 – 1st few minutes
  • Stage 2 – 50% of sleep is here and contains spindles (activity explosions)
  • Stage 3 &4 – Form a slow-wave sleep, also a deep sleep which is hard to wake from(all page 198 text)
  • REM Sleep-

  • Has REM, high brain activity and muscle paralysis
  • Men get erections and women get more blood flow to the genital area

  • Look for reoccurring symbols and keep track of these also
