These are our planning links that we used for our August 19-29, 2000 vacation to various locations in the glorious Pacific Northwest! As Vicki prefers traveling to islands and seashores of all kinds, and Steve leans more toward volcanic and mountainous areas, we found that the state of Washington would provide the best of both worlds! We divided the trip between two main focal points...the San Juan Islands and Mount Rainier National Park. Other points of interest are Vancouver Island, British Columbia, North Cascades National Park, and Mount Baker Volcano.
