Leybold Heraeus Turbovac 360 Pump and Turbotronic NT 150/360 Controller

In Turbomolecular pumps the combination of grease lubrication and ceramic ball-bearings has so many advantages that it amounts to re-inventing the ball - advantages such as unique quietness in running, excellent vibration behavior and absolute reliability of operation.
LEYBOLD is the first manufacturer to offer Turbomolecular pumps with hybrid bearings: race of steel, balls of ceramic for every major class of pumping speed. The special material properties of ceramics reduce the wear and increase lifetime. Thus, reliable operation is ensured even under lubrication starved conditions, because it precludes micro pitting.

I purchased this unit recently from a local auction and it appears to need a rebuild. The vanes looked bent and they don’t rotate, although they can be moved. There is a link below to a company who sells replacement parts and accessories for this unit. Due to the fact that the unit is broken/untested, this unit is being sold "as-is".

This unit was not tested beyond what’s described above. This unit is in good physical condition, but may have some tape/sticker residue and may have dust from storage.
