I would like to submit a sighting of a sasquatch i had on september 15 of 1992 at the Beach City public hunting area in Tuscarawas county while squirrel hunting. It was about 1:00 p.m. as I was leaving the area from a morning of hunting, in the well known falls area. I spotted a creature about 8 ft. tall crossing the path in front of me 50 yards away as I was walking out. I seen the creature from the knees up. What amazed me was the relaxed way it carried itself as it was walking. It was very dark brown in color if not black. It turned once to look at me. I was amazed at the knowing look on its face. The encounter probably lasted 10-15 seconds at most. I could not believe my eyes.
I always had a strong interest in the bigfoot phenonema but never suspected i would see one. It moved on up into the brush where I lost sight of it. I waited about 15-20 min. before I continued on to regain my composure, and to see if it would come back around my way or if it would make any noise, it didn't.
As I was walking out I looked very closely for foot prints or some kind of sign where it crossed the path. The only thing I seen was a broad general shallow impression of a possible print, not enough to make a cast. I was 22 years old at the time. I hunted in the Beach City area all my life and never seen any thing like this before or since. Although over the years I must say I heard very strange noises in the area while deer and squirrel hunting. Ape or chimpanzee like sounds, always off in the distance. I have talked to other people who have had similar occurances in the area. I'm glad I am not the only one.
The creature I seen that day resembeled the Patterson film creature almost too a T. which I still believe is the most genuine film in existance of such a creature. I am a firm believer.
