#1 --- On the 29th of February 2004, I received a telephone call from a woman who resides in Noble County, Ohio. She started off by telling me her name and then said, and I quote, “I saw the damn thing!”

I knew the lady and her voice but hadn’t talked to her for many years. Her name is Cindy (NOT her real name) and she told me she had seen a Bigfoot creature back in late January.

Cindy’s mother passed away in mid-January and the funeral was on the 19th. (Our condolences to her and her family). Her father is a gentleman of 87 years of age. Cindy’s parents own a large farm with rolling hills and lots of cattle. Following is Cindy’s account, in her own words.

“The 21st of January is a day that will be in my memory for a long time. My mother’s funeral was on the 19th. It was my turn to stay on the farm with my dad. My daughter Jennifer and her fiancé Greg were getting ready to leave at 5:30. There was ice by the gate on the hill. I told them to just leave and I would shut the gate in a bit. In January at 5:30 it is still daylight, but dusk is slipping in a little bit. There was no rain or snow that night.

I stepped out of the door and turned left to go to the corner of the house. I thought I saw something by the corner of the fence. Who would that be? I thought. The person or whoever it was, was looking at the ground and seemed not to notice me. I got my courage mustered up a bit and decided to yell. My voice crackled a little bit when I yelled “Hey you! What do you think you’re doing?”

The creature was surprised at me. It turned at the waist, while still moving, and looked at me. The light gray color about its face made its features more pronounced. I can truly say that a “What the heck!” look was there. All at once, it made huge, leaping strides up the hill. My gosh! It was huge. Judging from the posts height, I guess it at least 7 ½ to 8 foot in height, and also to be a young male.

When it got nearly to the top of the hill I got scared and nearly tore the door getting in the door. “You didn’t shut the gate! Why are you in such a hurry?” dad asked. “I think I saw a big man dad.”

The next day when Jennifer and Greg came to do chores, I talked him into finding the tracks. He did, right where I said they would be. The partially melted snow made a distinct footprint impossible to find. He wears size 15 shoes. The track was wider and longer by inches. He was excited because he found the trail went over the hill into the woods. By backtracking it was discovered the creature was in a small shed, in the pasture field, possibly eating salt and minerals at the time Jennifer and Greg left the night before.

It’s been a while since that evening and I’m still leery about staying on the farm at night. My brothers said it’s been here a long time and not bothered anyone, so I don’t think it’s going to now. Some words of comfort, they didn’t see what I did.”

Notes… I asked Cindy several times what time she had seen the creature. She was steadfast with the time. I checked sunset for the 21st of January, thinking it would have been pretty dark when she spotted it. I discovered sunset was at 5:32 p.m. There would have been enough light. We also determined what she spotted was likely taller than she first thought. We came up with 8 ½ to 9 feet tall. It was black in color.
