My name is adelphosdave (adelphos is greek for brother). I live in Northern Ohio. I am an industrial maintenance electrician that loves Tractor Pulling, Nascar Racing, collecting Hot Wheels, playing praise music on the guitar, and flying model rockets.
O.K. SO WHAT IF I AM A BIG KID!!!!
At present I am not actively involved in pulling, in the past I have hooked with John Deere and Minneapolis Moline tractors. My favorite Nascar Driver is either of the Joe Gibbs cars (#18 or #20). My favorite Truck series Driver is Randy Tolsma. My favorite Busch series driver is Jason Keller. I hold a degree in Christian Studies. We are raising a teenage daughter and hope to enter fulltime into the ministry when that challenge is completed. There is nothing that excites me more than a spirit filled worship service. One of the biggest challenges I face is taking that excitement through the daily routine of life. As God leads me into a closer walk with Him, I hope I can share the insights He blesses me with to help others in similar circumstances and backgrounds walk closer to Christ.
As we seek to follow God's call in our own lives we would love to hear about your involvement in His work. My wife and I are very interested in meeting people involved in ministries where peoples physical needs are being taken care of as well a the spiritual ones.

PAST PROJECTS

LET'S GET RADICAL
This is what Happens to old Fords around my place! It is a combination of a Ford truck and an old Minneapolis Moline, my brother and I called it "TRUCKTOR". It did run, it was powered by a 302, had a total of 12 gears, but was never pulled. Max speed was about 25 mph. God loves to transform our lives the same way. The end result may be something radical like this or a shiney new Cadillac. Regardles of whether you are radical or refined God has a specific job for you to do.

PUTTIN' ON THE BIG WHEELS
This is a 1949 Minneapolis Moline "R" that I rebuilt and pulled for a few years. Often in life we try to win the big prize forgetting that we only have a 24 h.p. motor. In Pulling the secret isn't the size of the motor as much as the amount of grip we get. If you grip tight to the Word of God you will soon be full of the fuel of His Spirit you will find yourself in the winners circle.

LEFT BEHIND
This was my first official redneck project. It is a 1956 Studebaker Parkview Commander on a 1971 Chevy Truck chasis. It has been out of my possession for a long time, but the memory remains and often becomes a part of our breaktime discussions at work. Often the things we cherish most at some point in our lives quickly slip from our grasp and become only memories. There is one thing I possess that will never rust or fade away. It cannot be sold. It must be given away. The wonderful part is the more we give away, the more we seem to possess. Just a little bit is worth more than all the toys you will ever own in this lifetime. E-mail me for details on this special, free, limited time offer!!!!!!

DAVE'S MAINTENANCE TIP
Here in Ohio they use alot of salt on the roads which causes rust on vehichles. After patching the holes, a few cans of spray paint will cover the patches quite well. Like much of our own efforts it is just a covering for the rust that really lies beneath. For a true restoration sometimes we need to go back to the dealer. There is no better place for a repair than from the manufacturer. Our lives are the same way, no amount of covering for sin with our own efforts will ever produce a quality finish.
