Perceptions of Reality

To me, a sunrise reminds me that when one dies/
That the shackles and limitations of life have been untied/
To me, the bright rays that the sun shone drives me to run home/
And seek the truth, is anything really unknown?
These are my perceptions of reality

To me, a rose blooms at the exact moment we chose doom/
And kept our head hung, we are soon dead from a froze gloom/
To me, a cats purr is the faint secret of souls long captured/
And sold to a timeless master that enslaves us in disaster/
These are my perceptions of reality

To me, a volcano posses the same mysterious beauty as a rainbow/
That remains so beyond our reach that mere speech permeates the same soul/
To me, our lone feelings is the one thing that got my dome reeling/
Trapped on solid ground, but knowledge bounds me thru the stone ceiling/
These are my perceptions of reality

To me, God is only what your soul makes it/
The revelation of cold naked innocence and what you hold sacred/
To me, time is only a measure of light/
We find pleasure at night but the ultimate treasure is life/
These are my perceptions of reality

To me, a thunder storm announces that wonders gone/
When it is actually born into another form/
to me, death is not the end, its when we start to mend/
Live our lives and give our pride to the hearts of friends/
These are my perceptions of reality/

To me, a bee sting is slight payback for the Chaos that we bring/
Yet we refuse to open our eyes and truely see things/
To me, to free the mind only happens if you seize the time/
If not the lies continue to get in you, so you be the blind/
These are my perceptions of reality

To me, a light breeze inspires me to write these/
Instead of falling on my right knee, reciting night pleas/
To me, a crickets noise outlines explicit poise/
Which gives it joys everytime we make a wicked choice/
These are my perceptions of reality

To me, these are wise words but since our eye's blurred/
If you're alone in the forest in the darkness, are your cries heard?/
To me, this is how it is to me, it might not really be it/
But release your mind, at least you'll find how you might see it/
These are my perceptions of reality
