TRANSFERABLE SKILLS FOR ANY INDUSTRY
PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: Aircraft engine design problem resolution -- team of 20. Introduction of redesigned hardware into the field with the best logistic plan. Leading a team to introduce a design change that eliminated the potential loss of modern fighter aircraft. All these projects were multi million dollar projects. Teamwork, Project Management skills, Listening Skills, and application of Technology were responsible to the success of this project .
SUPPORT OF NEW TECHNOLOGY: Management of flight test of Metal Matrix Composite hardware on an F16 flight-test aircraft. (GE uses Video of this event for advanced technology demonstration to procure future contracts). Liaison work, working with diverse groups and travels.
PROBLEM SOLVING SITUATIONS: Worked with internal manufacturing departments and outside vendors to resolve production and quality problems to meet commitments to customers. (aircraft engine components for military and commercial engines)
CONSULTING SERVICES Vortec Corp. - Energy Separation Experiment for Tool Cooling
TEACHING EXPERIENCE Taught Basic Thermodynamics at U of Cincinnati for 3 years.
Software/Computer Design Experience
Designed computer programs and sub routines for simulating aircraft engine operation and Validate software. Experience in FORTRAN, Basic and macros for minicomputers. Used standard office word processing software like Office writer and Microsoft Word. Used Spreadsheet programs like Lotus, Excel, and Supercalc. Used Database programs like ACCESS. Recent training is in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, VB5.0, Oracle Dev2000, SAP R/3 ABAP/4 programming and SAP R/3 functional modules.
Designed computer programs(FORTRAN) to update aircraft engine health monitoring software called Test Cell Temper. Validate software.
MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE
Operated lathes, milling machine, gear hobbing machines, N/C machines and drilling machines.
Taught a group of Algerian foreign exchange students sponsored by the State Department, about modern manufacturing methods (and about the American manufacturing industries for examples).
Approved Bill of Materials, Work process flow sheets. Approved repair procedures. Identified and facilitated implementation of cost reduction ideas.
Generated process change design documents for design changes to effect cost reduction.
Resolved manufacturing problems associated with high performance aircraft engines.
Operated hydraulic shears for sheet metal cutting operation, assembled jet engines (installed accessories on fan ducts, piping, turbine blades, and lock wired nuts and bolts to specification) at GE Aircraft Engines.
Resolved heat exchanger production problems. Resolved vane pump failure problems by proper choice of manufacturing methods.
PROBLEM SOLVING SITUATIONS
Worked with internal manufacturing departments and outside vendors to resolve production and quality problems to meet commitments to customers. (aircraft engine components for military and commercial engines)
Identified critical safety issues, developed solutions and introduced the fixes in a timely fashion and avoided liability for the GEAE company, at least the cost of few modern fighter aircrafts.
Worked with Design teams and supported test programs as a project/program manager to resolve aircraft engine problems related to components for military and commercial engines. Designed program plans to retrofit field hardware for expedient problem resolution during Middle East (Iraq) conflict.
Worked with field support teams to resolve customer complaints with respect to aircraft engine components.
SUPPORT OF NEW TECHNOLOGY Developed new technology for noise suppression ( developed laser beam drilling technolgy for .005" dia holes, Vow! ). Managed all aspects of qualification testing of acoustic panels --- lab testing, engine testing and flight-testing, data reduction and qualification report.
Planned and executed successful flight test of Titanium metal matrix composite material, first of its kind ever, which gave GE the lead position for future contracts and was nominated as part of the team for Engineers day award.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Taught Basic Thermodynamics for 3 years at U of Cincinnati.
Supported lab teaching in the area of Modal Analysis, Vibration and Acoustics.
Supported research activities at the University of Cincinnati as the departmental photographer.
Miscellaneous Work activities that augment my technical skills
Digital and 35mm Photography, Videography, Operate a variety of audio-visual equip. Operate business office equipments like typewriter, fax machines, copiers, modems, blue print machines, plotters, answering machines, 16 mm movie projectors etc.,
