Arizona catman Bill Warner wrestled this 34 pound flathead from Horseshoe Lake spillway. He reports that flatheads are an underutilized sportfish in Arizona.
My wife, Gwen, caught this nice 47 pound flathead. I am holding and our grandaughter, Psycho Baby, is observing.

Minnesota catman Wes Bergemann with a 25 pounder called "Minnesota Flat". Wes used a 5 inch creek chub on a 4/0 kahle hook. He used a 7'6" St. Croix rod equipped with an Ambassador 6500 C-3 loaded with 40lb test Berkeley UltraMax braided line. He fished a feeder creek and put his bait in 2 feet of water near some brush.
North Carolina catman Lloyd Brown Jr. Caught this 45 pound flathead from the Cape Fear River.

This 42 pound blue cat caught by Lloyd Brown Jr. is the current 25lb test line class record at the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. Congratulations to this N.C. catman!

Mark Lester landed this 51 inch Minnesota flathead.

Byron Hub caught this 28 pound flathead while fishing the Ohio River near Cincinatti. This is the first flathead submitted in 1999. Good going Byron!

Texan Wayne Barton got this huge flathead, 62 pounds 12 ounces, from Lake Proctor. He claims he got the monster while fishing for crappies with a Zebco 33 spooled with 14 lb line. My guess he is the guy with the big smile.
