Sound for the TI-83!

Ever been bored and wanted to enhance your TI-83 at the same time? Probably not!
Anyway, on this page you will learn how to build a small speaker for TI graphing calculators.

Materials Needed:

*Peizo Buzzer
*2.5 mm headphone jack. (Like the one on the bottom of the calc.)
*A small project box. ( I used a micro cassette case.)

These can be purchase for a total probably around 4 bux. The first 2 items can be found at Radio Shack.

Procedure:

1) Drill holes in each side of the project box. One must be big enough for the 2.5 mm jack to fit through! The opposite side should have 2 holes.(one for each of the Peizo wires)
2) Insert the jack into the proper hole and connect t with the included nut.
3) Thread the Peizo wires through their holes and connect them to the proper poles of the jack.
4) Glue it all together!

Diagrams of the finished product:

Use the link cable that came with your calc. to connect the calc. and the speaker.

Below is a link to a ZIP file containing games and programs
that work with the speaker!
