Here I have added some of my most favorite and supporting letters Dan has received so far. In an age where there is so much violence and anger, I am very happy to know that there are still some kind-hearted people out there, concerned with more than their own well-being and willing to take a few moments of their time to help encourage or say a prayer for a complete stranger in need of encouraging words. Thank you all so much for caring.
HI DAN: WHAT A WONDERFUL FRIEND YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS PAGE FOR YOU. DAN YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE FRIENDS LIKE THIS.... I WILL SAY A PRAYER FOR YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR FRIENDS, HOLD YOUR CHIN UP HIGH... SINCERELY REV JUDY
Dear Dan, I am very sorry for you accident. I am praying for your full recovery. Many times some wonderful things happen from tragic happenings. Perhaps God had other ways in which he wanted your life to expand. I pray that he guides you and gives you what you need not necessarily what we think we need or want. God Bless you! I am glad you are alive. You have still much to give to others and yourself.
Our Gracious Heavenly Father, We come before You to humbly ask Your forgiveness of our sin that we may boldly enter into Your presence with a pure heart and a clear conscience. Lord God, we wish to petition YOu on behalf of Dan who was seriously injured in an accident. We pray for Your perfect will and way in this situation as Dan now rests on Your Holy precipice preparing to step off into the unknown abyss of life. For him, today will take on a whole new meaning and way. Lord God Your word says "I being in the way, the Lord led me". Lord God please lead Dan in the way everlasting and help him to rest and trust in You for all his needs. In Jesus' Holy and Precious name we pray...AMEN and AMEN!!
Dan, It is times like these when it is very hard to keep your faith and trust in our savior Jesus Christ, as I can say from past experiences. But it is also these times that we must continue to pray and trust in him. I will keep you in my prayers daily and I hope to here from you soon. Please do not be angry, for all things there is a reason. Sometimes these reasons are as dark as nite to us but to God they are as bright as the shinning stars. With all my love and prayers From a small town in west Texas Linda L. Martin
Dan, My son was paralyzed from the waist down and was never to walk again. With lots of hard work and a miracle he walks with a severe limp but he walks. However, he had decided not to let his life be a waste if that miracle never came. I pray for a miracle for you, too, but if it doesn't happen, it just means that God has other plans for your life. My daughter has a friend who is a quad. He had graduated fromcollege, trwvelled the world for two years working as he traveled, came home, had a wreck, and became a quad. He went back to college, got a teaching degree, and will start his first teaching job on Monday. He has an aide that helps him get ready for the day, a dog that helps him do things during the day, he drives his own van, and is extremely excited about starting his new life. He attends lots of sporting events, has girlfriends, and is happy to be alive. I pray you come to terms with whatever your life is to be...and make it a productive and happy one!!! Smileylady Rose
Dan, you are a stranger to me but I have children your age. Your injuries are devasting. You are 25 years old and had your whole life ahead of you, and still do, just a different life than you had planned. Through my own life experiences, I have learned and tried to teach my children, and all young people who pass through my life, that we do not know the inner strength that we have until trouble comes and taps these deepest resources. Please read FOOTSTEPS, and realize that a spirit larger than both of us will carry you through your worst days and is carrying you now until you can hold yourself up. People all around you love you and care for you, and if your days were supposed to be over, you wouldn't be laying there right now. So let yourself be taken care of for awhile, rebuild your inner strength and then your mission will be to find your next purpose in life. You have heard of so many tragedies that turn out to be miracles? well now you are one and you will soon be famous on t.v. so get your story and your best side ready! My daily prayers and special prayers will always have you in them, Dan, until I see you on T.V. Love from a mom in Canada!

Hello Dan, Although I do not know you I can empathize with you, not pitty as you do not sound like the type of a person who would want it. 18 years ago I was shot in the back and side in a convenience store hold up. Leaving me a T-6 paraplegic so like I said I sorta know how you feel. I did not write to tell you my problems but to tell you not to give up. Other people can say that and then turn and walk away. All I can do is offer my prayers and to let you know that no matter how bad it gets, look around and you will see someone in worse shape. My hope and prayers go out to you and if you do not know anyone that is "handicapable" you cna always write to me and I will try to answer any questions you have, after 18 years I have seen a lot and had a lot done to me. Hang in there Dennis Putnam
Hi. I just want to say that God is well able to bring healing to your friend. After all He is still in the Miracle Business!! The Bible says that the prayer offered in FAITH will make the sick person well that the Lord would raise him up. That is God's will for your friend - and everyone else for that matter. God is no respector of persons. God sent his Son , Jesus to the world to reconcile us to Him. It is because of Jesus that we can count on God to deliver us. The shed blood of Jesus guarantees it! Jesus has done it all - The only thing left for us to do is to put our trust and hope in Him. It isn't a matter of if enough people pray that our prayers will break through to God and be heard. Just give Jesus place in your life - open your heart to Him and He will guarantee that God hears your prayers. If you read your Bible about the life of Jesus you will see that He ONLY did the will of God while He was in the world and that He healed ALL that came to HIM. Nothing has changed since then. He is still our Healer!!! God loves you more than you could ever imagine - and He loves your friend too!
