On Titan

Titan takes sixteen days to rotate,
so living on Titan time is somewhat cruel.

Since last time the sun rose,
I have lived fourteen days,
worked hours on hours,
listened for the phone in grey silence
watched stars rise overhead,
and topple over themselves to die.

And now, in this Titan night, longer than long,
I can see the bright speck of earth vaguely blue,
and still, I haven't heard from you.
