On Dealing Me A Lake

The heavens dealt me a lake last night,
a fallen, rain-filled cloud
lowered in my valley
during the darkness of my sleep.
This morning, I wake to waves
and feeding fish that surface,
to sun reflecting on the water.
I wonder if the skies will one day
make another cloud
and float my water
from the valley
on a jet stream moving east.
