United American Football League: League Information
League Information
Here is some base information on how the UAFL works:
1) At the beginning of the league, you will select your first 19 draft picks,
after you make your selections, the computer will finish the draft for you.
2) You will run the first season with the regular NFL players, after that point,
you will conduct the regular rookie draft, and the supplemental draft. The projected top 30
picks' stats will be posted on a page, with a brief description of their type of play,
and their past career stats.
3) Trading may be conducted just as in true time NFL. You must make all trades before
the deadline. Thereafter, you may only sign free agents. You also may trade up in the
draft, for more details on this procedure, contact the league commissioner.
4) Your team will have a salary cap, to a certain extent. The league commissioner will
inform you of your cap limits.
5) When you draft a player, you must make a contract with him. Only your first 19 players
selected will have contracts throughout the first year. Any contracts you wish to make with
a player after the first year, must be done at the start of the next season.
6) Players that are unhappy with team success may decide to move to free agency. You
may offer larger contracts to make the players happy, and there is a chance they will resign
with your team.
7) Players that retire can sometimes be lured back for another season or two, if you wish,
you may attempt to bring them back.
