A little bit about this project!


Performing Thin Lizzy songs acoustically has always been something that I do when I am foolin' around at home or in the recording studio. I have even performed some songs live at various open mic nights and acoustic venues. But the idea of actually recording some Lizzy songs acoustically really started around 2006 when I visited Ireland and watched some musicians play some acoustic songs at the annual "Vibe For Philo" concert in Dublin. I thought, "Hey, I can do this. It looks like fun and a challenge."
Well, 4 years later, I have recorded a 7 song EP of various Thin Lizzy songs. I have no intentions whatsoever to make money on this project but I would like to share my songs with anyone who would care to listen. I have made the songs available to download for FREE!
These songs are MP3 format and are all together in a compressed folder.

Some technical info for you gearheads out there:
What you hear on these recordings is simplicity at its finest, although I do love to overdub guitars in the studio!!! LOL! I used 2 acoustic guitars. Ibanez and Alvarez. My voice, of course, some hand clappin', and an egg shaker on one song. That's it! The songs were recorded in my little home studio on a Tascam 8-track digital porta-studio recorder and mixed on a lap-top computer using the Cakewalk Sonar program. The songs were recorded between February and and April of 2010.

If anyone knows me personally, they know that my passion for Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy is something that is very special and dear to me. Philip has always been one of my biggest inspirations and influences. His spirit and memory were both with me when I recorded these songs.

If you are a Lizzy fan (or "supporter" as Philip would say), you will recognize the songs right off. Others may not know them as well because alot of them are the non-radio songs.
