"BLAST FROM THE PAST"

August 5, 1997

The episode (probably the most notorious in the history of "Dallas") opened with J.R. taking a ride with Angelica, who was still in that ridiculous red outfit and still holding him at gunpoint. She revealed to him that she had some very interesting papers on Alex Garrett (the forged papers from the previous episode) which could save Ewing Oil from its present financial difficulties. She arranged to meet him in two days at Ewing Oil to show him what she had.

Ben had some coffee with Miss Ellie, who told him about her children and showed him around Southfork. He said he knew what it was like to lose a son, but wouldn't really tell her anything about his family life. Without saying much, he left, leaving a befuddled Miss Ellie staring curiously after him. Ray also confided to Tony, who is now living at Southfork with the Krebbses, that he wasn't sure if he could trust Ben.

Everyone gathered later for Pam and Mark's wedding. Jack left his car with one of the valets, who turned out to be Angelica's patriotic bomber friend from a couple episodes ago. He planted a bomb in the car while ceremony commenced, and Pamela Barnes Ewing officially became Pamela Barnes Ewing Graison.

The next day, Jack said goodbye to Cliff and prepared to drive to the airport with Jamie. The same morning, J.R. met with Angelica at his office and she gave him her atomic briefcase with the papers on Alex Garrett. He also had the police waiting in the next room to arrest her when she tried to leave, but not before warning J.R. that it was too late, and Jack would be dead soon if he wasn't already. He phoned Jack as Jamie went out to the car to get it started and told him what Angelica said. But it was too late. Just before hanging up with J.R., Jack was startled by a loud explosion, and ran outside to find his car--and Jamie--up in flames. (Bye, bye Horseface!) At Ewing Oil, J.R. rushed out of Ewing Oil to check up on Jack and Jamie, and no sooner than he left did Sue Ellen arrive. And no sooner than Sue Ellen arrived did Ewing Oil exploded with her inside (too bad it wasn't Mandy, if you ask me).

But none of it really mattered anyway because moments later, Pam awoke in her bedroom to the sound of running water. She peeked into the bathroom...only to find Bobby alive, well, and taking a shower.
