"PROOF POSITIVE"

August 19, 1997

Jamie went to the offices at Barnes-Wentworth to clean out her office (since when, outside of Pam's dream, was she an active presence at Barnes-Wentworth?). She overheard Cliff on the phone with an EPA official threatening to shut him down for a pollution problem which Jamie once encountered before. When she tried to give him the solution, he slammed his office door closed in her face.

Pam went to visit Jenna at her boutique and pleaded with her not to have an abortion. Jenna assured her that she was going to keep the baby. Pam then asked if she could have it after Jenna was finished with it, as it would be the child that she could never give him (what's Christopher??? was he just a dream, too???). Jenna was outraged (and justly so), and told Pam to get out and never come near her again. Pam ran out in tears (just like she always does everytime she goes to see Jenna; will she ever learn?).

April went looking for Jack and found him at the pool (did their contracts restrict them to only be featured in scenes by the pool this season?). She offered to sell him her 5% share of Ewing Oil for $250,000. Jack refused, as he wasn't sure if it was going to be worth that much and she didn't deserve a penny in the first place. April told him that if he wasn't willing to do business with her, there were plenty of people who were.

Mandy did a screen test/audition for a film, which proved that she was about as good (and I use that word lightly) as Deborah Shelton. Bruce Harvey offered her a contract on the spot, but she couldn't accept until she talked to a certain someone. She met with J.R. in his box above the Cowboys stadium, where she told him that she would throw away the contract if he would throw Sue Ellen off of Southfork and declare her as the next Mrs. J.R. Ewing. J.R. said get real, it'll never happen. And with that, they said goodbye.

Only moments after declaring that he'd rather kill Wes Parmalee than give up Ellie, Clayton moved out of Southfork because he felt like a third party. Wes Parmalee took the lie detector test...and passed with flying colors. He then paid J.R. and Bobby a visit at Ewing Oil just after they received the frustrating results of the test. Wes said he'd come to say goodbye, but not because he was leaving town. Because Jeremy Wendell offered to buy Ewing Oil, and he might just accept...
