THE STEPHEYS...HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE

INTRODUCTION

In 1954 a baby girl was born to a loving couple that had been married for 26 years. They traveled throughout the country and abroad, enjoyed life and listened to Moon River on the radio.

The father, a master magician, photographer and feature writer for the Kenton Times.

The mother, an antique dealer, curator of the Wyandot County Museum and Girl Scout leader in Hardin County.

Both traveled with the carnival in the mid 1930's owning a 4 for a dime picture machine. Then in 1943 she joined her husband in Pearl Harbor after 7 months of seperation. He was a Civil Service employee in the aviation field and she a clerk typist with the supply and personnel departments.

He was born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio in Wyandot County. She was born in Bucyrus, Ohio in Crawford County then later moved to Upper Sandusky, Ohio where they met. They then moved to Kenton, Ohio in Hardin County which is about 25 miles away in the heart of Ohio farmland.

My name is Marla Lee Stephey-Lindsay and I was born December 20, 1954 in Kenton, Ohio to the wonderful parents mentioned above.
