Hi !!!!!!... Welcome to my little corner of Cyber Space! My name is Shannon, I am nineteen years old and a Freshman at a college in Southern Ohio. At this time I plan to major in Education with a minor in Computers. If I have time I'd also like to train to be an E.M.T. I think I'd like to someday be an English Teacher, probably Junior High / High School level. Oh, and did I mention that I have achieved one of my lifelong dreams? I am playing VARSITY VOLLEYBALL in COLLEGE!!!!!! I'm just a little excited about that, bet you can't tell though, huh?

I have an older brother Jaime who is 23, a younger sister Jessica who is 16 and a Sophomore in High School and two great parents whose ages I'm not allowed to reveal! *g* That's the Human side of my family.

The Animal side consists of my dog Lacey, a black lab, two fish.... Spike and George, and two cats.... Bootsie and Chynna. The latest addition to our Zoo is a kitten lovingly dubbed "Volley" by the members of my Volleyball Team. Seems Volley thought it was a bit too cold outside one morning and decided to move into the Gym. The Team and I talked my Mom into adopting Volley and taking her home with us. Even Dad has a soft spot for her.

As my College Life has just gotten started, how about I tell you a little about my totally awesome Senior Year in High School? Our Varsity Volleyball Team went 23-3 and we won The County League Championship! Our Class toilet-papered the school the night before the first day of school and managed to get it banned for all future classes. (ooops!) I was appointed Captain of the Track Team. Last, but not least...I was nominated and chosen to tour Europe with the Ohio Ambassadors of Music. The Trip started out with us staying 3 days at Bowling Green University to practice and then on June 22nd we flew out of the Detroit International Airport and landed in England. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have someone very special come into our lives. Someone that touches us so deeply that we know no matter what happens that we will never forget them. They bring sunshine and laughter with them, they make you realize what true friendship means. This year I was lucky enough to meet someone like that at college. Her name was Beth and for way too short a time, she was my roommate. Beth was killed in a car accident on Oct. 9th. Her memory will live on in all the people's lives she has touched.

I think about you every day Beth and I miss you like crazy...
