Masterworks Chorale

In the fall of 1972, Benjamin Locke and his mother, Rose Mary Locke, decided to form a choral group that would perform all kinds of music throughout the year. From this modest beginning emerged one of Northwest Ohio’s outstanding chamber choirs. Masterworks Chorale sings music from many centuries in many languages and has premiered several compositions by local and world-renowned composers. The Chorale maintains its vision of performing a wide variety of choral literature in a professional manner, providing enriching and fulfilling musical experiences for its members and its audiences.

Donna Tozer Wipfli is enjoying her seventh year as Masterworks Chorale Music Director and Conductor. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Boston University and her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine. Ms. Wipfli has taught in California and Connecticut and has guest conducted festival choirs in Connecticut, New York, California, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. She has sung with several professional chamber choirs including the Detroit Symphony Chorale, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, the Aspen Chamber Choir, and the Robert Shaw Festival Singers. Currently, she teaches music at Ottawa Hills Elementary School.
