Surname Spellings: There are variations of spellings for the same individuals, sometimes within the same source. In comparing notes with Mr. Stephenson and when looking at the 36^th's muster roll, read "Hummel" for "Hommel", "Lewallen" for "Lieuellen", "Woyler" for "Waxler", and "Wellington" for "Willington".

Mr. Darl Stephenson's book has recently been published about the Blazer's Scouts. The title of the book is Headquarters in the Brush Blazer’s Independent Union Scouts.
