SSP: Can you start by telling everyone about yourself?
RyanJoy! Umm my name is RyanJoy and I am 22 years old..I’m from Tampa, actually I still live in Tampa and I was born Jan. 18, 1981 *laughs* And That’s all.

SSP: Okay, umm You've performed in some pretty big places, do you get nervous before a performance?
RyanJoy! Yeah I get a little nervous before a show. I’m always saying how I hope I don’t mess up onstage or I hope I don’t mess up a lyric.*laughs* So yeah I definitely do get a little nervous.

SSP: Haha, yeah.. When did you decide you wanted to be a singer?
RyanJoy! Umm I’ve always wanted to sing…I guess since I was a little girl..and I did some background dancing & vocals for 2 artists, but it really came about professionally about 2-3 years ago…I just decided to go full force with it.
SSP: That's cool.
RyanJoy! *laughs* Yeah.

SSP: Who's one of your favorite singers out there today?
RyanJoy! Hmmm...I have a lot. Umm *laughs* I like Mariah Carey a lot and um Aretha Franklin. I like Christina Agulera’s music and some of Kelly Clarkson's. I like a lot of rock. I Love Justin Timberlake though, yeah. I don’t know just rock stuff.
SSP: Ooh Cool!

SSP: Who has been a role model to you (musically)?
RyanJoy! Musically? I don’t know if particulary anyone has. Umm my father was in a band. When I was little I never watched cartoons, I was always watching like MTV, or Vh1, or the Mickey Mouse Club, stuff with concerts. *laughs*

SSP: *laughs* Aww! Umm...and uh Where was your first big performance?
RyanJoy! The first big one was a Radio Disney type show. It was a big event and it all went good and was fun, except there was a few technical difficulties.

SSP: Through your career, has it all been pretty easy, or have you found there are downs to performing also?
RyanJoy! There’s a lot of downfalls. Some people are jealous or they don’t believe in you and just don't support you. There are many ups and downs. And in the end it sometimes turns out to be a big mess.

SSP: Ooh, umm okay, Where has been your favorite place to perform?
RyanJoy! My favorite place was probably Miami. It was my first time performing in South FL and it was a big event. It was for the Make a Wish foundation. So it was for a good cause.
SSP: Aww that’s sweet!
RyanJoy! Yeah *laughs*

SSP: What advice would you give to your fans and other who want to sing too?
RyanJoy! Never give up, it definitely is a hard business. I knew it was gonna be hard, but I didn’t realize exactly how hard it would be. If you wanna be in it, then you gotta make sure it’s what’s in your heart and you’re not doing it for the wrong reason.

RyanJoy!: Thank you *laugh* I just have many thanks.
