Play's first album released in the U.S. was self-titled with 7 songs, and their E.U. album was titled "Us Against the World" with 11 songs, both of which included the hit songs "Us Against the World", "Cinderella", and a remake of the Temptations song "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me".
Anna Sundstrand, the youngest member was the first to join Play, followed by Anaïs Lameche, whose sister Amanda is also a singer. Anna and Anaïs had been in musicals before and Laila Bagge (their manager) had seen their talented and asked them to join. They both graciously accepted. Next auditions were held and Faye Hamlin and Rosie Munter were chosen, and like Rosie says "the funny thing is she didn't know me and Faye were best friends, so she was like 'are you girls best friends?' 'yeah we're best friends'!". They all met up at an amusement park for the first time! Since then the girls have all been very close.
Their first single "Us Against the World" was featured in the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson movie, Holiday in the Sun too, and you can catch Play dancing and singing on stage in the party scene, and a clip of the "Us Against the World" video after the show.
The girls have been on tour with various artists such as Destiny's Child, Aaron Carter, and Chris Trousdale, and plan to tour with many more artists to come. Better check to see if they're coming your way!
