Jesse A. McCartney, was born to Scot and Ginger McCartney on April 9, 1987 in West Chester County, NY. When Jesse was 7 years old, he became very interested in the movie "Oliver". Scot and Ginger had been doing alot of shows in the theater. Soon an audition came up for "Oliver" in Jesse's town. Jesse tried out for the part and made the lead role. Since then, Jesse knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

When Jesse was 11, he auditioned to be on the ABC Soap "All My Children". For 4 years, Jesse played the part of Adam Chandler, Jr. "JR". Jesse recieved 2 Emmy Nominations in 2001 and 2002 for his role.

In 1999, Jesse tried out for a new group called Dream Street. He beat out over 200 boys to be 1/5 of the group along with, Chris Trousdale, Greg Raposo, Matt Ballinger, and Frankie Galasso. Although Jesse was 2 years younger than the other boys, he fit in just perfectly.

Since the DS split, he has been doing some plays and music of his own. Jesse is currently working on his first solo album and on a new pilot called "Summerland".
