SSP: Hi! Can you please start off by giving us some background info on
yourself?
Alden: My given name is Justin “Alden” Wynn, I live in Roanoke, VA and I own a
contract window-washing business. My true passion has always been
performing
music and recently I took up writing music as well. I’ve been
performing
since I was about 8 years old and with any luck my current demo project
will
be picked up by a major label by the end of this year! :0)
SSP: What kind of music do you like to sing best?
Alden: I believe that as you get older your tastes in music will mature, so I
feel
like I’m open to just about any genre of music but I grew up in a
family
that loves country music so I’m torn between Hip-Hop/R&B and Country
music
as favorites!
SSP: Before you go up to perform on stage, do you ever get stage fright?
Alden: The only time I can ever consciously remember being scared before a
performance was my first talent show in 4th grade and I sang Huey Lewis
and
the News “Heart of Rock and Roll” my legs were shakin’ so bad I looked
like
Elvis jerking around up there!
SSP: What was the best moment/performance you have had so far in your
career?
Alden: I would have to say it’s a three-way tie between singing the National
Anthem
for of Michael Jordan at one of his last games he played in, singing
on the
“Grand Ole Opry” stage in Nashville, TN or singing on national TV on
American Idol 2! All were very cool!
SSP: Who has inspired you a lot musically?
Alden: I think each person that I’ve worked with whether it be a producer, a
songwriter, or a famous singer, I try to learn and take something from
each
person before I go, so that I can learn from their wisdom and not have
to
make the same mistakes they did. I feel inspired when I’ve learned
something
that I can apply in my own career.
SSP: Is there anything special you like to do in your spare time?
Alden: I love to work-out, I spend several hours in the Gym if I can, it’s an
awesome way to burn off some steam and grind out frustrations! I also
like
to get away from my hometown any chance I get even if it’s just to
spend a
week working on my demo in NY or doing a photo shoot in Atlanta, just
the
feeling of going away makes you appreciate coming home again!
SSP: Are you working on anything special for the fans right now? (Cd's, concerts, etc.)
Alden: YES! YES! YES! I just finished up my demo with N’Sync’s producers that
will
be submitted through the proper channels to some of the major record
labels
next month and if they like what they hear, I believe you will see a
project
from me on the shelves of your music stores as early as next summer!
I’m
opening up for Matchbox 20 here in my hometown in October as well as
several
appearances on TV singing the National Anthem (October 25th
Nascar-Atlanta
race on NBC network) and I just auditioned for “Mtv” to be a VeeJay we
hope
to hear back from that within a couple months! All of my awesome
friends can
keep posted on what’s next for me on my website www.aldenwynn.net
SSP: Is there anything you would like to tell your fans who are reading this
right now?
Alden: I would to tell them that they have been so awesome and supportive,
that I
love them, and to please continue sending e-mail that I will answer all
them
personally! I would also like to add that each one of them is SPECIAL
and I
hope that they will take the time to explore their own talents and
always
follow their own dreams!!!
SSP: Thank you so much for giving your time to answer these questions!
Alden: Thanks again and we’ll talk soon with a lot of new and exciting news!!
