Randy Rogel could take on the legendary Donald O'Connor any day of the week. Fresh from scene stealing in the 5th Ave's last production, Me and My Girl, the amazing Rogel is back to save the day again. He is no straight mimic of O'Connor himself, he makes the character of Cosmo Brown his own, so who even notices? He even makes the show-stopping "Make 'Em Laugh" - a hilarious romp with a dummy, some 10-foot planks and a brick wall - even funnier than the original. Hitherto, I would have called such a feat impossible, but seeing these living-cartoon antics happen 30 yards in front of your face (and wondering how he lives through them) has a special magic all its own.
