A white lady
walked in my garden,
In the quiet
sunset air.
She gave new
life to the fading flowers
And wakened
their beauty rare.
She spoke to
the birds and they answered.
She looked
at the trees and they spoke.
She knelt
and whispered to the ferns
And they their
silence broke.
Her dress so
white and sweeping
Shone with
a light serene.
She imparted
an air of lovliness
To the garden
so cool and green.
Even the sky
seemed bluer,
The sunset
seemed more bright.
The song birds
sang as she lingered
And delayed
the fall of night.
I saw my lady
in the garden,
Saw her nature's
voice release,
And into my
heart came a wonderful rest,
For my lovely
white lady was "Peace."
