Xena Warrior Princess

It was always entertaining, whether it was a brutal-past-of-Xena episode or a comedic episode. Even the awful Alti episodes were decently entertaining to watch. And Gabrielle's changes over the course of the show was fascinating. I used to love hating Gabrielle in the first few seasons. I wanted to kill her for what she did in China. But the post-cruxifiction Gabrielle was incredible. Towwards the end of the show, Gabby was a better, more interesting character than Xena. And the music was incredible. I've bought two volumes of the soundtrack and plan to get them all. And, of course, I have to mention some of the best things about the show. Callisto. Ares. Joxer. Casear. Aphrodite. My favorite episodes are: The Dirty Half Dozen, Destiny, The Ides Of March, The Bitter Suite, The Debt I & II.

Earth Final Conflict

Sometime in the third season, I just lost interest in this show. I still watch it sometimes, though. I never had a problem with Renee but I HATE that Street idiot. I miss Augur. And what have they done to Sandoval? I miss the old Sandoval. You never knew what he was really up to, whether he was really on the aliens' side. The Avatus are such a joke! Oh, wait. I'm supposed to be saying the things I like about it. It has good music and imagery. And it's about sinister aliens in contact with Earth. Actually, I think humanity's reaction to the Taelons is pretty much exactly what would happen if aliens really came to Earth officially. I'm referring to the alien worshipping cults.

Prey

This show aired on ABC in the spring/summer of 1988. It was cancelled after just thirteen episodes. Too bad. I loved it. It was fascinating. It was science fiction without spaceships. I can hear you gasping. Yep. You read right. Science fiction sans space exploration and aliens. Global climate changes have sparked the evolution of a new species of human. And as any bio student knows, no two species can ocupy the same niche. Homo dominant is covertly trying to make Homo sapien extinct. They're poisoning school children's juice, even. So Sloane, the bioanthropologist whose mentor discovered their existence and was then murdered, has to lead the fight against them along with two of her colleagues and a police detective. And Tom. Tom's one of them. In fact, he's one of their best. But he fell in love Sloane after being assigned to kill her so he wants to be different. Some of the other members of the new species don't want to commit genocide either but after Sloane arranges a meeting for them with the gov't, they're ambushed and murdered. Sloane has found a way to devolve the new species, make them Homo sapien. But the government isn't interested in coexistence. They're going to destroy the new species before the new species can destroy Homo sapiens. The last episode ended with Tom being captured and caged by the government.
