Indianapolis - The Pacers defeated the Lakers tonight by a score of 113-103. They were led by PG Jamaal Tinsley. For the game, Tinsley put up 17 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 0 steals, and 0 blocks. In his career, this was triple-double number 1. The Lakers were led by the 32 points of C Shaquille O'Neal. It was big day for Tinsley. Pacers have no shooting guard star.. They got Jay Williams. Tinsley and Williams share to play PG.

Shawn Marion of the Suns was named Player of the Week today. During the week, the Suns had a record of 4-1. We caught up with Marion after practice today. Here is what he had to say: ''It is an honor to be recognized for my individual performance but I am more pleased about the way the team is playing. If we can keep playing like this we'll be in the playoffs for sure.'' For the week, Marion averaged 31.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game. THE MATRIX!!!
