Prymary Colorz

Prymary colorz

"Behind The Music: The Story of Prymary Colorz" Long ago (1995) and far away… in a little town called Mount Holly, NC...three high school students loved to hang out and sing together in the acoustic stairwells of their school. They practiced so long after class, the janitor used to kick them out! The best of friends, Jonathan, Raj, and Josh couldn't get enough of singing together. They participated in talent shows and school competitions (where the girls went crazy). Anywhere they had a chance to be heard, they would sing.

In March of 1997, the guys performed the national anthem for their largest crowd ever at the Charlotte Coliseum for the Charlotte Hornets vs. the Utah Jazz. This performance inspired Prymary Colorz and renewed their vision to accomplish their dream…. Once they got over the goose bumps!

Meanwhile, from 1993 to 1996, Marcus had been traveling the world with a Gospel quartet called the Envoys, performing anywhere from Nigeria, Africa, to Washington, D.C. for crowds numbered up to 10,000! After five years of touring, Marcus felt led to move forward and work on a solo project at a local studio. While working there he met an engineer that suggested he check out a group that sounded like Boyz II Men. Marcus learned that the guys were looking for a tenor to complete their group.

When the four guys met, the chemistry was instantaneous! Marcus became the perfect compliment to the tapestry of harmony woven by their combined voices.

On a visit to Florida at the invitation of an entertainment agent that had seen one of their shows, the guys fell in love with the music scene (and beaches) and decided to move south.

While attending a concert at the Mahaffey Theater in June 2000, the guys decided they would try to get backstage by singing their way in! They stood outside the backstage area and sang acapella for a friend of one of the producers from Big3 Entertainment's studios. She went in and dragged out the producer (Jim Beeman), telling him he had to hear these guys… When Jim heard the guys sing -he took them backstage to meet Big3 management.

And thus the real story begins…. Four exceptionally talented singers, ready to share their love of music with the world…. And it doesn't hurt that they're "hott" either!
