MME: What inspired the both of you to become a songwriters?
After being in a 'covers band' we thought we could write as good as the songs on the radio, and winning a Sony Songwriters Of The Year contest confirmed this.

MME: Who has been some of your biggest musical influences?
Karen Carpenter, The Beatles, Robbie Williams.

MME: When thinking of new ideas to write a song, does the littlest thing like a commercial trigger something to pop out?
Inspiration can come from anywhere! Even reading the newspaper can suggest a title.

MME: How does it feel to be working with one of the most popular up and rising boy bands?
We're delighted to have been there since Day One, and we hope the ride continues for many more years! We like to think that our songs, vocal arrangements & record productions have given Dream Street a solid foundation, and, visually, Claudia's choreography has ensured that they look like dynamite on stage & TV too!

MME: Out of all the numerous artist that you have worked with, who were you most excited to work with and why?
Dream Street - because of how we've watched them evolve and their career take off. And we simply love pop music.

MME: Do you find it to be annoying when DS fans come and ask you questions pertaining to any of the guys?
No. We appreciate that fans want to talk to us because of our connection with the guys, but if they think we'll reveal to them any personal or sensitive information I'm afraid they're gonna be disappointed!

MME: How do you usually deal with it?
A smile usually helps!

MME: When arranging a song- how is it decided which member sings a certain part of a song?
We know every guy's vocal ranges like the back of our hand, so when we write or arrange a song for them we can usually hear the finished result in our head before Dream Street have even sang a note!

MME: What advice would you give to other aspiring songwriters?
Be strong, be prepared to have many disappointments before the one lucky day when you get your break. Work hard on strong melodies and meaningful lyrics. Maybe find a partner, an agent, a manager, a music attorney, and eventually, with luck, you'll secure a publishing deal.

MME: Berny-list your favorite qualities about Kevin... 
He's kind, generous and a big kid, and he always makes me a cup of coffee first thing in the morning!

MME: Kevin - list your favorite qualities about Berny...
She's loving, loyal and makes a great cup of tea! She won't tolerate disrespect. She's young at heart and we have great fun together.
