God forgives all sins, no matter how big
Just as I Am
"Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidd'st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God I come! I come!"
Charlotte Elliot (1789-1871)
A simple invitation
"The simple message of the song "Just as I Am"
was so popular in the early days of
Billy Graham's evangelistic crusades that
it became a regular part of the response to
each appeal to make a public commitment
for Christ.
Charlotte Elliott seemed to have everything
going for her as a young woman. She was
gifted as a portrait artist and also a
writer of humorous verse. Then in her early
thirties she suffered a serious illness that
left her weak and depressed. During her
illness a noted minister, Dr. Caesar Malan of
Switerland, came to visit her. Noticing her
depression, he asked if she had peace with
God. She resented the question and said she
did not want to talk about it.
But a few days later she went to apologize
to Dr. Malan. She said that she wanted to
clean up some things in her life before
becoming a Christian. Malan looked at her
and answered, "Come just as you are." That
was enough for Charlotte Elliot, and she
yielded herself to the Lord that day.
Fourteen years later, remembering those
words spoken to her by Caesar Malan in
Brighton, England, she wrote this simple hymn
that has been used to touch the hearts of
millions who have responded to Christ's
invitation to come just as they are."
from The One Year Book of Hymns by Mark Norton
and Robert Brown (Tyndale)

~TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria~
Go the Extra Mile
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"And whoever compels you to go one mile, go
with him two" (Matthew 5:41, NKJ)
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Are you a person of excellence? Do you do
more than what´s expected, or do you look for
the easy way out? Do you just do the minimum
requirement, or do you go the extra mile?
Back in Bible days, by law, Roman soldiers
could require a person to carry their armor
for one mile. After that mile, they would
have to get somebody else to do it. But in
this verse, Jesus is saying to go above and
beyond the call of duty. Do more than
expected. Carry the armor two miles. And
that´s the attitude we should have today.
We are called to be people of excellence.
We are called to go above and beyond.
That´s the attitude God expects, and that´s
the attitude God rewards. The world should
look at the people of God and think, "Wow.
They are people of integrity. People who
outshine the rest. I want what they have."
I encourage you today to look for ways to go
the extra mile. Let your actions bring glory
to God and open the door for His blessing in
every area of your life.

LETTING GO
There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this! When people
can walk away from you: let them walk. I
don't want you to try to talk another person
into staying with you, loving you, calling
you, caring about you, coming to see you,
staying attached to you. I mean hang up the
phone.
When people can walk away from you let them
walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody
that left.
The bible said that, they came out from us
that it might be made manifest that they were
not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt
they would have continued with us..
[1 John 2:19]
People leave you because they are not joined
to you. And if they are not joined to you,
you can't make them stay.
Let them go!!
And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person
it just means that their part in the story is
over. And you've got to know when people's
part in your story is over so that you don't
keep trying to raise the dead.. You've got
to know when it's dead.
You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell
you something. I've got the gift of good-bye.
It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in
good-bye.. It's not that I'm hateful, it's
that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God
means for me to have He'll give it to me.
And if it takes too much sweat I don't need
it. Stop begging people to stay.
Let them go!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn't
belong to you and was never intended for your
life, then you need to......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and
pains .......
LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you
back, and see your worth......
LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you.
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil
and revenge.....
LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or
addiction... ..
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer
meets your needs or talents
LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude........
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel
better......
LET IT GO!!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying
to take you to a new level in Him.........
LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a
broken relationship.....
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't
even try to help themselves.. ....
LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and
stressed ............
LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are
so used to handling yourself and God is saying
'take your hands off of it,' then you need
to......
LET IT GO!!!
'The Battle is the Lord's!'
Stop whatever you are doing, and take this
opportunity. All you have to do is the
following:
You simply say 'The Lords Prayer' for the
person that sent you this message:
The Lords Prayer
Our Father, who are in Heaven, Hallowed be
Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this
day, our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass
against us. And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the
Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory,
forever.
Amen.

GOD OF ALL COMFORT
"For his anger lasts only a moment, but his
favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain
for a night, but rejoicing comes in the
morning." - Psalm 30:5
God is the God of all comfort (see 2 Cor. 1).
Even when he deals harshly with our sin and
rebellion, it is for our good. It will last
only a short while and then it gives way to
rejoicing. If you are in a time of
discipline or facing the cruel consequences
of sin, please don't give up. Morning will
come, and on that dawn will come God's grace.
It's more than worth the wait!
Father, please bless your children who are
facing hardships and difficulty. Please help
them endure through "the night" so that when
your dawn comes, they can experience the great
rejoicing that lies ahead. Please bless the
following people, dear Lord, and help them
find your joy .... In Jesus' name I pray.
Amen.

John 3:16
This is so beautiful!
John 3:16
A little boy was selling newspapers on the
corner, the people were in and out of the cold..
The little boy was so cold that he wasn't
trying to sell many papers.
He walked up to a policeman and said,
'Mister,
you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy
could find a warm place to sleep tonight
would you.
You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner
there and down the alley and it's awful cold
in there for tonight.
Sure would be nice to have a warm place to
stay..'
The policeman looked down at the little boy
and said, 'You go down the street to that
big white house and you knock on the door.
When they come out the door you just say
John 3:16, and they will let you in.'
So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked
on the door, and a lady answered. He looked
up and said, 'John 3:16 .' The lady said,
'Come on in, Son.'
She took him in and she sat him down in a
split bottom rocker in front of a great big
old fireplace, and she went off.. The boy sat
there for a while and thought to himself:
John 3:16 ...I don't understand it, but it
sure makes a cold boy warm.
Later she came back and asked him 'Are you
hungry? ' He said, 'Well, just a little.
I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I
guess I could stand a little bit of food,'
The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him
down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate
and ate until he couldn't eat any more. Then
he thought to himself: John 3:16 ....Boy, I
sure don't understand it but it sure makes a
hungry boy full.
She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge
bathtub filled with warm water, and he sat
there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he
thought to himself: John 3:16... I sure don't
understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy
clean... You know, I've not had a bath, a
real bath, in my whole life. The only bath I
ever had was when I stood in front of that
big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out.
The lady came in and got him. She took him to
a room, tucked him into a big old feather
bed, pulled the covers up around his neck,
kissed him goodnight and turned out the
lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked
out the window at the snow coming down on
that cold night, he thought to himself:
John 3:16..... I don't understand it but it
sure makes a tired boy rested.
The next morning the lady came back up and
took him down again to that same big table full
of food. After he ate, she took him back to
that same big old split bottom rocker in front
of the fireplace and picked up a big old Bible.
She sat down in front of him and looked into
his young face. "Do you understand
John 3:16?" she asked gently. He replied,
'No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever
heard it was last night when the policeman
told me to use it,'
She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began
to explain to him about Jesus . Right there,
in front of that big old fireplace, he gave
his heart and life to Jesus. He sat there and
thought: John 3:16 -- don't understand it, but
it sure makes a lost boy feel safe.
You know, I have to confess I don't understand
it either, how God was willing to send His Son
to die for me, and how Jesus would agree to
do such a thing. I don't understand the agony
of the Father and every angel in heaven as they
watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't
understand the intense love for ME that kept
Jesus on the cross till the end. I don't
understand it, but it sure does make life
worth living.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life....
If you aren't ashamed to do this, please
follow the directions .
Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will
be ashamed of you before my Father.' Pass this
on only if you mean it.
I do Love God. He is my source of existence...
He keeps me functioning each and every day.
Phil 4:13 If you love God and are not ashamed
of all the marvelous things he has done for
you, send this on.
Take 60 seconds & give this a shot!
Let's just see if Satan stops this one.
All you do is:
1) Simply say a small prayer for the person
who sent you this, 'Father, God bless this
person in whatever it is that You know he or
she may be needing this day.
In Jesus Name Amen !'
2) Then send it on to ten other people.
Within hours ten people have prayed for you,
and you caused a multitude of people to pray to
God for other people. Then sit back and watch
the power of God work in your life for doing
the thing that you know He loves.

Good one
I bear witness that never servant had such a
Master as I have; never brother such a
Kinsman as He has been to me; never spouse
such a Husband as Christ has been to my soul;
never sinner a better Saviour; never mourner
a better comforter than Christ hath been to
my spirit.
After living what I felt was a 'decent' life,
my time on earth came to the end.
The first thing I remember is sitting on a
bench in the waiting room of what I thought
to be a courthouse.
The doors opened and I was instructed to come
in and have a seat by the defense table.
As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.'
He was a villainous looking gent who snarled
as he stared at me.
He definitely was the most evil person I have
ever seen.
I sat down and looked to my left and there
sat my Attorney, a kind and gentle looking
man whose appearance seemed so familiar to
me, I felt I knew Him.
The corner door flew open and there appeared
the Judge in full flowing robes.
He commanded an awesome presence as He moved
across the room. I couldn't take my eyes off
of Him.
As He took His seat behind the bench, He said,
'Let us begin.'
The prosecutor rose and said, 'My name is Satan
and I am here to show you why this woman
belongs in hell.'
He proceeded to tell of lies that I told,
things that I stolen, and in the past when I
cheated others. Satan told of other horrible
Perversions that were once in my life and the
more he spoke, the further down in my seat I
sank.
I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at
anyone, even my own Attorney, as the Devil
told of sins that even I had completely
forgotten about.
As upset as I was at Satan for telling all
these things about me, I was equally upset
at my Attorney who sat there silently not
offering any form of defense at all. I know
I had been guilty of those things, but I had
done some good in my life - couldn't that at
least equal out part of the harm I'd done?
Satan finished with a flurry and said,
'This woman belongs in hell. She is guilty
of all that I have charged and there is not
a person who can prove otherwise.'
When it was His turn, my Attorney first asked
if He might approach the bench.
The Judge allowed this over the strong
objection of Satan, and beckoned Him to come
forward.
As He got up and started walking, I was able
to see Him in His full splendor and majesty.
I realized why He seemed so familiar; this
was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my
Savior!
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the
Judge, 'Hi, Dad,' and then He turned to address
the court.
'Satan was correct in saying that this woman had
sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations.
And, yes, the wage of sin is death, and this
woman deserves to be punished.'
Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His
Father with outstretched arms and roclaimed,
'However, I died on the cross so that this
person might have eternal life and she has
accepted Me as her Savior, so she is Mine.'
My Lord continued with, 'Her name is written
in the Book of Life, and no one can snatch
her from Me. Satan still does not understand
yet. This woman is not to be given justice,
but rather mercy.'
As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked
at His Father and said, 'There is nothing else
that needs to be done. I've done it all.'
The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed
the gavel down. The following words bellowed
from His lips... 'This woman is free.' The
penalty for her has already been paid in
full. 'Case dismissed.'
As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan
ranting and raving, 'I won't give up, I will
win the next one.'
I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions
where to go next, 'Have you ever lost a case?'
Christ lovingly smiled and said, 'Everyone
that has come to Me and asked Me to represent
them has received the same verdict as you,
'Paid In Full'
'Stop telling God how big your storm is.
Instead, tell the storm how big your God is!
'The will of God will never take you where
the Grace of God will not protect
You.'

Stepping Stones
The Lord came to me like a dream one day and
asked, "why do you sorrow?"
I answered, "Lord my life is so full of pain,
I can't face one more tomorrow."
The Lord sat down beside me, and gently took
my hand.
He said, "Let Me explain to you, and then
you'll understand.
Each sorrow is a stepping stone you must
surmount each day,
And every stepping stone you climb is a sorrow
that's passed away.
The road of life is a mountainside, with
crevices in which to be caught,
But as you struggle on your way, I, the Rock,
will lend support.
Every stepping stone you climb, makes spirit
and heart grow strong.
Exercising character and faith, this road
seems painful and long.
The way is paved with stepping stones, to
uplift your heart and soul,
Though difficult, they aid your way, to a
City paved with gold.
I know that you are tired, for I too have
walked this way,
My sorrows did they multiply, but I cleared
many stones away.
I left My Rock to lift you up, I left behind
My story.
To give you strength to make your climb, to
that special place in glory.
And never fear, the Rock is here, you'll never
climb this mountain alone
Surmount life's sorrows, continue on, for they
are but stepping stones.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean
not to your own understanding. In all ways,
acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

Great Study
Dart Test...
THIS IS A POWERFUL MESSAGE. PLEASE READ ALL OF
IT. I AM PASSING IT ON BECAUSE I AM CERTAINLY
NOT ASHAMED TO DO SO.
In light of the many jokes we send to one
another for a laugh, this is a little
different: This is not intended to be a joke,
it's not funny, it's intended to get you
thinking..............
A young lady named Sally,
relates an experience she had in a seminary
class, given by her teacher,
Dr. Smith. She says that Dr. Smithwas known
for his elaborate object lessons.
One particular day, Sally walked into the
seminary and knew they were in for a fun day.
On the wall was a big target and on a nearby
table were many darts. Dr. Smith told the
students to draw a picture of someone that they
disliked or someone who had made them angry,
and he would allow them to throw darts at
the person's picture.
Sally's friend drew a picture of someone who
had stolen her boyfriend. Another friend drew a
picture of his little brother. Sally drew a
picture of a former friend, putting a great
deal of detail into her drawing, even
drawing pimples on the face. Sally was pleased
with the overall effect she had achieved.
The class lined up and began throwing darts.
Some of the students threw their darts with
such force that their targets were ripping
apart.
Sally looked forward to her turn, and was
filled with disappointment when Dr.Smith,
because of time limits, asked the students to
return to their seats. As Sally sat thinking
about how angry she was because she didn't
have a chance to throw any darts at her
target. Dr. Smith began removing the target
from the wall.
Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus.
A hush fell over the room as each student
viewed the mangled picture of Jesus; holes
and jagged marks covered His face and His
eyes were pierced.
Dr. Smith said only these words... 'In as much
as ye have done it unto the least of these my
brethren, ye have done it unto Me.'
Matthew 25:40.
No other words were necessary; the tears filled
eyes of the students focused only on the
picture of Christ.
If you aren't ashamed to do this, please
follow the directions.
Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will
be ashamed of you, before My Father.'
Not ashamed... pass this on.
Ashamed...delete it.
Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to
trash God and then wonder why the world's
going to hell.
Isn't it funny how we believe what the
newspapers say, but question what the Bible
says.
Isn't it funny how everyone wants to go to
heaven provided they do not have to believe,
think, say, or do anything the Bible says.
Or is it scary?
Isn't it funny how someone can say 'I believe
in God' but still follow Satan (who, by the
way, also 'believes' in God).
Isn't it funny how you can send a thousand
jokes through e-mail and! they spread like
wildfire, but when you start sending messages
regarding the Lord, people think twice about
sharing.
Isn't it funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and
obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but
the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed
in the school and workplace.
Isn't it funny how someone can be so fired
up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible
Christian the rest of the week.

Short but important
Start Singing!
He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of
praise to our God. Many will see what he has
done and be astounded. They will put their
trust in the Lord.
— Psalm 40:3
Two elements we should see in worship today
are reverence and joy. Both are important.
In the early church, there was an open joy
that the believers expressed in their worship
of the Lord (see Acts 2:46). But there also
was reverence. Acts 2:43 says that "a deep
sense of awe came over them all, and the
apostles performed many miraculous signs
and wonders."
The Spirit-filled church will be a worshipping
church, and the Spirit-filled Christian will
be a worshipping Christian. And when you come
together with God's people in corporate
worship, something wonderful happens. God
manifests His presence in a unique way when
His people come to honor His name. As Jesus
said, "For where two or three gather together
as my followers, I am there among them"
(Matthew 18:20). The Bible also says that God
inhabits the praises of His people
(see Psalm 22:3).
Now God is omnipresent, which means that God is
everywhere. But when you gather together with
other believers and lift up His name in
praise, God blesses that in a special way and
manifests His presence, even His glory.
There is nothing in the world like corporate
worship—that special bond we sense, that
blessing of God, that sense of fulfillment as
we do what we were created to do, which is
to glorify God.
The Christian faith is a singing faith, and
that is not necessarily true of other
religions. They may chant, they may moan, and
they may have their various forms of music,
but there is no faith that is full of vibrant,
joyful singing like Christianity. We have the
best songs of any religion on earth, and God
just keeps giving us more and more. Why?
Because we have something to sing about.
So start singing!

Why Fellowship?
That which we have seen and heard we declare
to you, that you also may have fellowship
with us; and truly our fellowship is with
the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
— 1 John 1:3
Christians tend to throw around the word
"fellowship" a lot, as in, "Let's have some
fellowship," or "We'll be meeting in the
Fellowship Hall." But what does this word
really mean?
When Acts 2:42 says the early believers
"continued steadfastly in the apostles'
doctrine and fellowship" (emphasis added),
it uses the Greek word koinonia, which could
be translated, "fellowship," "partnership,"
or "communion." It also can mean "to be
generous." So fellowship encompasses all
of these ideas; it is far more than
socializing.
Anyone can socialize. Anyone can get together
and rally around their passions, whatever it
is they might have an interest in. But the
fellowship that the Bible speaks of is not
that kind of gathering or social interaction.
It is different altogether. It is people
getting together to talk about the things
of God.
Fellowship is praying together. It is serving
together. It is giving together. It is aging
together. These are the fibers of fellowship.
And fellowship with God and with His people
go together. As we get to know God through
His Word, we will long for fellowship with
other believers. The stronger your vertical
fellowship, the stronger your horizontal
fellowship will be. As 1 John 1:3 says, "That
which we have seen and heard we declare to
you, that you also may have fellowship with
us; and truly our fellowship is with the
Father and with His Son Jesus Christ." If
you find yourself out of fellowship with God,
then you will soon find yourself out of
fellowship with other believers.
So if you want to be like one of the early
believers in the first-century church, then
you need to not only love God and study His
Word, but you also need to spend time with
His people in fellowship.
