Melissa Swem-Syracuse Ny

Richard Belcastro - currently lives in Blossvale NY but originally from Wilkes-Barre PA. Started seriously flying kites back in 1994 with a 3 stack of Aerostunters by Go Fly A Kite and then the Rocket, followed by a twin stack of Hawaiians and then...... the list goes on and on and on. Loves to fly all types of kites from his indoor Rev, single line, dual sport, quad, power and of course NYKE's Play Sail. Particularly enjoys traction kiting with kite buggies and ski boards or just plain getting dragged around. Hope to add pictures in the near future. Favorite flying field used to be Sylvan Beach but trees are growing along the perimeter causing unwanted turbulent wind and is in search of a new flying field and buggy field! Ultimate playground so far has been Ivanpah Dry Lake located in California, right on the border of Nevada about a 1/2 hour from Sin City (Las Vegas) Rich was fortunate enough to play there every Saturday and Sunday for over 2 months with none other than the buggy guru himself Corey Jenson aka The Corey Lama. Another favorite flying field is at Liberty Park NJ with the Tribe from Liberty High Spirits of 14B. Rich's favorite kite? Hmmmm! That's a tough one! Will have to give that some thought! Couple of them are my Beautiful Evil, Hawaiian Team Chevrons, Benson Outer Space and Gemini and of course my Sky Tigers. My favorite or most memorable experience? Hands down and no bout a doubt it, has got to be the two and half months spent in Vegas doing the buggy thang with Corey and the VBB (Vegas Buggy Bastards) crew, doing what I read about since 1995! I think another memorable experience was flying NYKE's Play Sail at Sullivan 2003. Member of the CNY Buggy Crew. Rich can be contacted at skyraidr@twcny.rr.com

Debbie Belcastro- Rich's better half, also hails from Wilkes-Barre PA. Currently a spectator but we hope to change that!

Joni Abulencia - lives in Central Square, NY but grew up in Bridgeport. Has been flying since 1994 and flies mostly quadline kites, and has made several and would like to try to make a Rokkaku next. Favorite flying field has to be....Fort Ontario, Oswego NY, but loves to fly on Oneida Lake when it's good and frozen. Another favorite flying field for Joni is Van Buren Park located near Baldwinsville, NY. Joni has made one trip to the Outer Banks this past year for the Kitty Hawk kite festival and had such a great time she'll probably be heading back this year as well. "Blah, Blah, Blah"! Joni can be contacted at mittens18@usadatanet.net

He's the guy with the pony tail and grin. Much to his wife Rebecca's dismay his kite quiver is growing fast and furiously. He is looking to see what the ice and snow has to offer, and is already planning to attend NABX '06. Also a member of the CNY Buggy Crew.

Chris Ganger-hails from Ithaca NY, and has been flying since 2002. His interests run the spectrum for single line kites, dual line sport and quad- line kites including power kites. He has recently started to make his own kites at the end of 2003, and has made a few rokkakus, a roller, a few fighters, a large 12' genki, and just finished his first home made power kite, it's a 2m2 firecrest, it's an absolute blast to fly, and in a good wind it pulls as hard as his 4m2 firebee. His normal flying locations include Stewart park, Cass park, the Ithaca dog park, Taughannok park, and the field down the street from his house when it isn't planted.
