I just realized what God meant by "nature serves as signs."

It happened when I thought about why God would create all of us - not to question the One True Living LORD God Almighty, but to understand - to search - to seek a better understanding so as to grow in the faith.

When I thought of a tree I thought "why would the tree grow branches - to grow ..." but what really struck me was that many people "worship" trees and see the beauty in them. But they miss the point. Isn't Heaven "as a tree" with many branches leading out from the root? That's exactly when this idea occurred to me. The "tree worshipers" are missing the point. The beauty of the tree points to God and His Divine Sovereign Rule in Heaven. Since they stop at the physicality of the tree they never get to see how that tree is reflecting God in Heaven.
