the end is near

This is my own observation of the signs of the end. We are suposed to know that the signs that point to the end. I believe those signs are begining. Granted the Bible says that no one knows when the Lord Jesus Christ will return but we are supposed to know the signs. And indeed it is getting more and more clear (to me) that the end is approaching. I hope you read this and put your faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, one with the Father - in Jesus' name, amen.

Here are the signs as I see them (please keep in mind that only God's word is true, my words are only true if Biblical verses are found to support them):

Saturday morning children shows are about witchcraft
"The Burning Man" is a national pagan annual event
Children are being taught that there is only nature and themselves
People believe that they should only trust in themselves
The normal behavior is that people are expected to sleep together
The normal behavior is that women are supposed to wear make-up
The so-called "Protestant" churches are allowing women to have the role of minister

Abortions are legal - one technique is describe as burning the fetus in the womb. The Bible mentions how ancient Israel threw their children into fire. (I find it amazing that people want to kill their own children yet protect the eagle's eggs. There is a $500 fine and a 2 year jail sentence if anyone is caught destroying an eagle's egg.)
Gay marriages have become legal in some states.
Gay relationships are being portrayed more frequently and more openly.
Gay people are followed as ministers, with their lovers, in some churches. This is a direct reference to the verse: "...the abomination which causes desolation..." (Matthew 24:15, et. al.)
one world order is coming
the stage is being set for a one world religious order: people are accepting Buddhism more and more; it is becoming more and more wide spread; everything and anything is being called "spiritual"
more and more people are becoming selfish and cold even over the littlest of things (see 2 Timothy 3:2-3 below)
the final point is that Christ told us exactly what to expect in Matthew 24, which is copied below for your convenience.

Matthew 24 (also reported in Mark 3)

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.
"Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"
Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.
For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ (or, Messiah),' and will deceive many.
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All these are the beginning of birth pains.
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,
and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11) spoken of through the prophet Danielď - let the reader understand -
then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house.
Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.
How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.
For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now ďż˝ and never to be equaled again.
If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the electďż˝if that were possible.
See, I have told you ahead of time.
"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
"Immediately after the distress of those days
" 'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' - Isaiah 13:10, and 34:4
"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.
And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it (or, He) is near, right at the door.
I tell you the truth, this generation (or, race) will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, (some manuscripts do not have 'nor the Son') but only the Father.
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.
"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?
It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.
I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,'
and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.
He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

2 Timothy 3

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God —
having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,
always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.
But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,
persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Luke 23:26-31

As they led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.
A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him.
Jesus turned and said to them, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children.
For the time will come when you will say, 'Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!'
Then " 'they will say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!" '
For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?"

Indeed! Just as 2 Timothy 3 (above) states, and the Lord reminds us, people will be the epitomy of evil in this earth. May God richly bless you; may He open your eyes and make you obedient to Him alone, in Jesus' name, amen!

I was done playing Civilization III on the simplest level, Chieftain, and lost quite a few things. I was very frustrated because up until recently I have been doing ok. I am starting to lose my games at the simplest level. I am not sure if I am just getting tired of playing games (having realized that only God is meaningful), or if I am just getting bored with them. Nonetheless, the recent onslaught of frustration has made me reflect how meaningless these games are... and that's when this idea hit me.

What's the goal? Where is the world trying to go? I mean in the end where do people think the world is going to be? The answer is that the world is heading for Armageddon - no more and no less. It struckk me then why am I struggling to move things along? I realized the totality of meaninglessness in these games, in pursuing things for life in general. I have been wasting my time and just came to realize it full on.

Now my hope is that God moves me in a way that is more fruitful - for myself to stop sinning against Him, and for others where I may water their path towards the Lord. Perhaps, but as Christ prayed "...not my will, but Yours."
