Proverbs 13:24
He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.

This means discipline with love in your heart. Taking advantage of your child's disobedience to vent your anger and frustration on them is not right since God says to be "... careful to discipline him." Also, accepting anything your children do that is wrong means you do not love your children, but rather reject them. So use discipline with sincerity to help your children to grow. With God all things are possible.
