It wasn’t supposed to be like this
That you’d be taken away

That you’d never have the chance to play

It is not supposed to be
That someone so brand new
Would have to leave this world
With so much left to do

It should not have been this way
Your time with us so brief
Yet when we look back upon those days
It will be with joy and not with grief

It wasn’t supposed to be like this
That you won’t have the chance to grow old
You will always be within our hearts
In our thoughts and in our souls
