If bad words are supposed to be so bad, why have them? Words are pointless if you're not "supposed" to use them (even though cuss words are used all the time in our good ole American country nowadays). It's not like the meaning is bad or anything. Take shit, for example. We all know what it means: poop, crap. But poop and crap aren't perceived as "bad" words, even though they mean the same thing as shit. Why is shit the bad word then? Why isn't poop the bad word, and shit used commonly by two year olds instead? "Mooommmmmy, I have to go poopie..." "Now now sonny, you know mommy doesn't like that word. Use 'shittie' instead." Yeah, I don't think any of us have witnessed this conversation or any similar to it.
I don't think I understand how swear words came to be swear words. Did this group of old men sit around a camp fire in the beginning of time, make up words, and decide which ones they should say and which ones they shouldn't? I don't think so. Words wouldn't have been invented if they weren't intended to be used. So if someone hadn't gone and screwed up the system, there wouldn't be words that people are discriminated against. I'm here to promote freedom of speech and equality of words! All words are equal, regardless of length, sound, and meaning. What's the difference between shit and poop? There is none! Now, I'm not telling you to go cuss out your teacher, and then blame it on my website when you get in trouble, because that's not what we promote here at Imagination Central. We do not promote using words for putting others down. No, we promote using words just because they're there and you can, and all words should be treated equal. I rest my case.
